ModCon is part of a Tour of convention organised every other year by different club including the local club Treeme. Those convention host for years a Britannia tournament. As for Madena, its central location within Italy helps making it a gathering of players from all around the country, particulary the players of Ferrara who proved terrible competitor and placed 2 finalist and won the Team tournament the year when ModCon hosted EuroBrit. Some italian player will also occasionnaly travel to foreign convention, like did Sergio Spaggiari (the only player to attend both edition of EuroBrit with François Sommaire) and Ivan Iori.
Modena is with driving distance of most of the place of interest of Tuscany,
and makes certainly more than a gaming halt. If you can spare some of your time
to enjoy the surrounding and leave the city of Modena itself which is not so
interesting as its neighbours, you can discover the heart of the Italy of Renaissance.
