Rules

The EuroBrit Commitee has chosen to use the WEBC set of rules for EuroBrit 2001. However, a slight change has been added to it regarding withdrawal during submission. That is :

In case of submission to Angle or Roman rule, Roman and Angle armies in a territory occupied by the submitted nation's armies must withdraw to :

Armies may move in different territories but are still entitled to stacking limits.

These rules were the ones used during the French Défi 2001.

Scoring system

The scoring system is the same that has been been for six years in the French Défi

At the end of a game, each player scores points scores points dpending on his ranking and the total amount of victory points scored during the game using the following formula :

[Position Bonus] * [Victory Points] / [Mean score of the color]

The position bonus is 500 for the winner, 250 for a second place, 150 for a third place et 100 for a fourth place.

The means used is the mean score of each color, based on more than 500 games. You can check them in the statistics section of this site.

After the first three rounds, the scores calculated are summed and the first 16 players are qualified for the semi-finals. Then, the winner of each of the four semi-finals is qualified for the final.
